What do we mean by missional living? Often times we hear the words “missions” or “outreach” and we think those things are for someone else. But we fail to realize that “missions” is not just a program of the church, it is the mandate of the church! Jesus called all of His followers to fulfill the Great Commission. Here at New Life, we believe that “missions” and “local outreach” are more than just programs or things we do, rather it’s a lifestyle we’re called to live. We’re all called to be “Missional”. Every day you live, everywhere you go, you are representing Jesus and His kingdom; hence the reason for the name Missional Living. It’s not what we do but who we are.

Our Missional Living department consists of World Missions and Local Missions blended together in one harmonious expression of God’s heart. More than having a department, we strive to create of culture of missional living in our people. One in which even if there isn’t a planned “outreach”, our people are still on a mission to represent Jesus well in our community.

 

Minister Profile

Kevin Johnson is a young man who is purpose-driven and has a deep passion to advance the Kingdom of God throughout the world. At the age of 18, he began going on short-term mission trips with New Life and in 2005, at the age of 27, Kevin formed a missions organization called All Nations Worship, when he began taking teams of young adults on short-term mission trips. His passion in doing this was to expose his generation, and those following, to what the Spirit of God was doing in the nations. Since 2005, he has taken several hundred people on overseas mission trips, ranging from 10 to 70 years old. As a result, the ministry has seen thousands of people saved and countless others healed and delivered. Also, many individuals from these teams have received their life's call to missions or other ministry. Kevin's passion is to see the Body of Christ awaken to her calling through fulfilling the Great Commission. What fuels this passion is his love for souls.
